Ettore Ewen ( born Ettore Ewen , born March 1, 1986) is an American professional wrestler currently playing on the WWE under the name Big E. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Former NXT Champion and Former Team Champion with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods . He is the owner of the longest team champion championship rhine.

In 2009, Ewan signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was assigned to the regional arm of the WWE Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where he began to perform under the name Big Y Langston [1] . His debut at the FWC took place on December 17, 2009, when he, in a team with Justin Gabriel , Skip Sheffield and Titus O'Neill, defeated Dawson Alexander, Donny Marlowe, Jimmy Uso and Lennox Mackenroi [2] . On May 12, 2011, Langston and Calvin Raines won the FCW Team Champions title by defeating Ricky Steamboat and Seth Rollins. [3] On July 21, Langston and Raines lost the title to CJ Parker and Donnie Merlow. Langston participated in the Super Eight tournament, but dropped out after the first round. Langston, in a team with Nick Rogerson, defeated Yuro and Sakamoto, which gave them the right to a match for the Florida team champion belt against Brad Maddox and Braille Pearce, which they lost. In February, Langston took part in the royal battle for the right to become the No. 1 challenger for the FCW heavyweight title. However, Seth Rollins won the battle. On February 11, 2012, Ewan defeated Heath Slater on the SmackDown show [4] , and on the WrestleMania Axxess he became stronger than Antonio Cesaro .

In 2012, Ewan made his WWE NXT debut, where he defeated Adam Mercer [5] . This victory was the first in a series of victories since September 2012, when Langston, after his final reception, demanded that the referee count down to five instead of three during a hold [6] . After Langston refused the services of manager Wikia Guerrero [7] , she awarded a reward of $ 5,000 to anyone who puts it on the shoulder blades, but the attempts of Chad Baxter and Camacho did not succeed [8] [9] . Later, the award was canceled by agent Dusty Rhodes. [10] On December 6, at the NXT show, Langston met with the NXT champion and Shield member Seth Rollins in a non-disqualified match [11] , in which Langston won and for the first time in his career won the NXT championship title [12] . He also started a feud with Conor O'Brien for the NXT title. On March 13 at NXT, Langston defeated United States champion Antonio Cesaro. On the records of the NXT show, which was shown on June 12, he lost the title to Bo Dallas .

The main roster (2012—2013)

December 17, 2012 Langston made his debut in the main roster WWE, taking part in the show Raw. On the show, he attacked John Cena by order of AJ [14] . After Dolph Ziggler became the guy of AJ, Langston became an ally of the latter and began to help him, interfering in fights [15] [16] . After Ziegler defeated WWE team champions Daniel Bryan and Kane individually (thanks to Langston’s interventions) [17] [18] they were eligible for the championship title match [19] . On April 7, at WrestleMania, 29 Langston and Ziggler participated in the WWE team champion belt match against Hell No, but were unable to win [20] . The next day, on the Raw show, Langston defeated Brian for the first time won a duel, which was broadcast on television [21] .

After Ziggler suffered a concussion in May, Langston took part in a series of five fights against challenger for the championship belt Dolph Alberto Del Rio [22] . On June 10, Raw revealed that Langston was Caitlin's secret boyfriend, but it was just AJ's idea to humiliate the reigning champion. On the next issues, AJ and Langston continued to humiliate Caitlin [23] , and on July 14 at the Money in the Bank show, AJ won the title of champion div [24] . On the next issue of Raw, Ziggler broke off his relationship with AJ, causing Langston to attack Dolph. [25] On July 29, Langston defeated Ziggler as a result of disqualification thanks to the intervention of AJ [26] . After the SummerSlam show, where Langston and AJ lost to Ziggler and Caitlin in a mixed team match, the confrontation between wrestlers ended and Langston began to perform himself [27] .

Intercontinental Championship (2013—2014)

On October 18, he lost to SM Punk and made a face turn, starting to help Punk repel the attacks of Raibek and Curtis Axel [28] . Three days later, on October 21 at Raw, Langston and Punk defeated Raibek and Kurtis Axel. Thanks to his victories, Langston got the opportunity to compete for the title of intercontinental champion , but due to the injury of the current champion, Axel, he did not have such an opportunity. On the Hell in a Cell show, Big Ye fought for the United States champion title with Dean Ambrose . Having won the match on the countdown, Langston failed to win the title. The next day, Langston received the right to a rematch, which he won again, this time by disqualification due to the intervention of Roman Raines and Seth Rollins .

November 18 at Raw Langston defeated Curtis Axel and won the title of WWE Intercontinental Champion. On the Survivor Series, Langston successfully defended his league title [29] . After Damien Sandow became the number one contender for the champion title, a feud began between the wrestlers, which resulted in a match for the champion title on the TLC show : Tables, Ladders & Chairs , in which the reigning champion won [30] . At PPV, Battle Royale (2014) came out at No. 29, but was unable to win. At the PPV Elimination Chamber (2014), Big Y defeated Jack Swagger in a duel for WWE Intercontinental Championship. At the RAW of March 10, it was announced that Big Y would take part in the Royal Battle in honor of Andre the Giant at PPV WrestleMania XXX . At PPV WrestleMania XXX Big And Couldn't Win The Battle. At PPV Extreme Rules (2014) , Barrett lost his title in a duel with Bad News .

Various Feeds (2014)

At the last RAW before PPV Payback (2014), Rusev defeated Zach Ryder , after which Big I ran to help Zak, but Rusev was able to cope with him. On the next SmackDown! a match was scheduled for PPV Payback between Big E and Rusev. At the PPV Payback (2014), Rusev defeated Big I. On the RAW of June 16, Big Y participated in the Battle Royal for the right to participate in the PPV Money in the Bank (2014) fight for the world heavyweight title, but could not win. On RAW of June 23, Big Y defeated Damien Sandow, and after the fight he read out a promo about Rusev, he went out and a fight broke out between the fighters. At Battleground (2014), Big Y participated in the Battle Royal for the vacant Intercontinental title, but could not win.

 
"New day"

New Day (2014 — present)

On the next RAW, after Kofi Kingston and Big Yi lost to Axel and Rybek, Xavier Woods came out and invited Kofi and Big Yi to form an alliance, which the latter agreed to. At the WWE Main Event of July 22, Kofi and Big Y defeated Heath Slater and Titus O'Neill. Beginning November 3, promo videos about the new “New Day” group began to appear on RAW, at first promos from Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were shown, but soon with Big I. On SmackDown! On November 28, the New Day group made its debut, they were able to defeat Curtis Axel, Heath Slater and Titus O'Neill.

At Extreme Rules (2015) , Kofi Kingston became the new WWE Team Champions.

At Payback 2015, they defeated Cesaro and Tyson Kidd . At the Elimination Chamber 2015 - Prime Time Players . At Money In The Bank 2015, they lost their titles to Prime Time Players, but returned them to SummerSlam 2015 . And this championship is the longest in history.

They defended their titles from Dudley Boys, Sheimus and Barrett, Luch Dragons, Brothers Uso, League of Nations.

At SummerSlam 2016 and Clash Of Champions 2016, they defended their titles against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson .

At Hell In A Cell 2016, Cesaro and Sheimus defeated New Day (Xavier Woods and Big E), but were disqualified due to Kofi Kingston's interference. Thus, the championship remained at the New Day.

At Survivor Series 2016, New Day were captains of the Raw team, which won. The new day was eliminated by Brizango and immediately eliminated by the Uso Brothers. And on the next Raw, they successfully defended their team champion titles against Seamus and Cesaro . Then at the next Raw also successfully defended the titles against Luke Gallow and Carl Anderson. On Raw on December 12, when New Day broke the record and became champions in the duration of the team championship, they first defended their titles in the triple-threat match against Seymus and Cesaro and Gallous and Andersen, and then in the next match in the same show against teams Jericho ( Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens ) and Shield ( Seth Rollins and Roman Raines ) nominated by Stephanie McMan for being doused with champagne during the record celebration.
