History
The original name of the embankment of the Black River (from Dvinskaya Street to 19) is known from 1849, comes from the name of the Black River, which was then called the Ekaterinofka River. Officially, the name of the embankment of the Ekaterinofka River was assigned on April 16, 1887 . In 1896 it was extended to house 31, in the 1970s to the Forest Port [2] .
In 2010-2012, the embankment and the adjacent road network were partially reconstructed in connection with the construction of the interchange with the Western High-Speed Diameter. The opening took place on October 10, 2012. [3] . At the same time, the embankment was actually reduced to the continuation of the Scottish street: the section of the embankment south of the Scottish street is part of the WHSD.
After the reconstruction, the embankment became twice as wide, and the clay shore overgrown with shrubs was ennobled. During the reconstruction, the Seldyany Bridge was dismantled through the canal of the same name , the channel of the channel was enclosed in a concrete pipe, and the channel itself was filled up.
After connecting the WHSD congress to the embankment, traffic along its section from Scottish to Nevelskaya Street became one-way; traffic in the opposite direction is carried out along Nevel and Scottish streets, which also became one-sided after reconstruction.
