Biography
Anatoly Shikov was born on August 23, 1938 in the village of Bakharevka (now does not exist, was in the Roslavl district of the Smolensk region ). In 1950 he graduated from four classes of a school. Since 1954 he worked on the farm "Lenin Spark." He graduated from tractor training courses, after which he led the collective farm tractor brigade. Since 1976, Shikov has been a link in the cultivation of flax [1] .
The Shikov link has made great strides in flax growing. From each hectare of the area assigned to it, it annually collected up to 10.5 centners of fiber and 7.2 centners of seeds [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 6, 1984, for "achieving outstanding performance and labor heroism in fulfilling plans and socialist obligations," Anatoly Shikov was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Medal [1] .
He died on December 24, 2002, was buried in a rural cemetery near the former village of Bakharevka [1] .
He was also awarded the orders of the October Revolution , the Red Banner of Labor , and a number of medals [1] .
