Emblem Description
“In the scarlet field on the azure tip, there is a golden barge loaded with sacks of bread , accompanied by two silver river anchors laid crosswise at the top. The shield is crowned with a municipal crown of an established pattern. ”
Justification of Symbols
The settlement territory was historically the breadbasket of St. Petersburg , and it was from here, from the village of Solpa, that bread caravans began in St. Petersburg, which is indicated in the coat of arms by the image of a boat loaded with bread.
Two crossed anchors and the scarlet color of the shield field - elements of the coat of arms of St. Petersburg - symbolize an important role in the life of the capital of the Russian Empire .
