Diocese of Ubon Ratchathani ( lat. Ubonratchathaniensis ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Ubon Ratchathani , Thailand . The diocese of Ubon Ratchathani is a member of the Metropolitanate of Thari and Nonseng and extends its jurisdiction to the provinces of Amnatcharen , Mahasarkham , Rioet , Sisaket , Surin , Ubon Ratchathani and Yasothon . The cathedral of the diocese of Nakhon Sawan is the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

History
On May 7, 1953, Pope Pius XII issued the bull Nos quibus , which was established by the Apostolic Vicariate of Ubon, separating it from the Apostolic Vicariate of Thari (today, the Archdiocese of Thari and Nonseng ).
On March 22, 1965, the diocese of the Apostolic Vicariate of Ubon transferred part of its territory for the formation of the new Apostolic Vicariate of Nakhorn-Rajasima (today the Diocese of Nakhon Ratchasima ).
On December 18, 1965, Pope Paul VI issued the bull Qui in fastigio , which transformed the Apostolic Vicariate of Ubon into a diocese.
On July 2, 1969, the Diocese of Ubon was renamed the Diocese of Ubon Ratchathani.
