New cemetery ( Polish. Nowy Cmentarz ) - a cemetery located in the city of Zakopane , Subcarpathian Voivodeship . The cemetery is located on Novotoraskoy Street at the foot of the Gubalowka Mountain. Many famous personalities associated with Zakopane and Podhale are buried in the cemetery.

History
The decision to organize a new cemetery in Zakopane was made by the city council in 1904. In 1907, the first burial of merchant Józef Slovnik was made at the cemetery. In 1924, a small stone chapel was built in the cemetery. In 1925, the cemetery was expanded.
During World War II , mass executions of the local population were carried out.
The ashes of Generals Andrzej Galitsa , Marian Janusaitis-Zhegota and Mechislav Boruta-Spekhovich were transferred to the cemetery.
At the cemetery there is a military burial site (quarter XIII) during the First World War.

- Smrechinskaya, Katarzyna (1846-1936) (XVI-4-19) - Polish writer, storyteller.
