Emblem Description
“In the scarlet shield with a gold serrated border on a golden chair with a green pillow, the royal crown ( Monomakh’s cap ).”
Justification of Symbols
The composition of the coat of arms reflects the history of the rural settlement of Kushalino, in which there was the official residence of the Grand Duke of Tver and the Tsar of the Russian state Simeon Bekbulatovich . Tsar Simeon in the village of Kushalino built a temple (still preserved), in the center of which stood a throne on which the Grand Duke and Tsar Simeon Bekbulatovich sat during the service.
The use of the royal crown in the coat of arms (Monomakh hats) reflects the real wedding of Tsar Simeon to the kingdom with this regalia in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
The serrated border indicates the subordinate significance of this composition in relation to the coat of arms of Tver and the Tver region.
The color scheme reflects the symbolism of the Tver region and royal power in the 16th century.
The coat of arms is written by V. I. Lavrenov, and the designer is A. V. Ushakov.
