The source of the river is located in the Babushkinsky district in the swamps near the village of Dyakovo , 5 km southeast of the village and the railway station Karitsa . The first kilometers flows through the Babushkinsky district, then flows into the territory of Totemsky . Throughout it flows through the forest area, the channel is meandering, the general direction of the current is northwest. In the middle reaches of the river is the village of Karitsa , there are no other settlements on the river. Karitsa flows into Tolshma above the village of Nefedyevo .
