Alexander Vasilievich Zazhigaev (born 1953) is a Soviet and Russian submarine officer, captain of the 1st rank . Hero of the Russian Federation (2000). Member of the tests of the nuclear deep-sea station of the 29th separate brigade of submarines of the Navy of the USSR .

Biography
Born on August 17, 1953 in the city of Sovetabad (since 1978 - Gafurov ), now in the Sogd region of the Republic of Tajikistan, in a family of employees. Russian [2] . Father is a tractor driver , then the head of the construction and installation department, mother is a nurse. In the postwar years, parents moved to Tajikistan from the Volgograd region . After graduating from high school, he applied to the naval school for a radio electronics engineer - his youthful enthusiasm for radio electronics affected [3] .
In the Navy since 1970. In 1975 he graduated from the Higher Naval School of Radio Electronics named after A. S. Popov and was sent to the Red Banner Northern Fleet . The service was performed by the commander of the BCh-4 nuclear submarine K-421 ( project 667BD ), which had just been put into service. For the first two years of service, he participated in three campaigns [2] .
Since February 1979, he served in the military unit of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR , Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation [2] . In the 1980s, he was a participant in tests of the nuclear deep-water station AS-23 [4] . In 1992 he was awarded the military rank of captain of the 1st rank . For the fulfillment of tasks related to the risk to life, he was awarded two orders [2] . In 1998 - senior assistant to the commander of the nuclear deep-water station AC-35 [4] .
By a decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated November 11, 2000 “for courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty”, Captain 1st Rank Alexander Vasilyevich Zazhigaev was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation with a special insignia - the Gold Star medal [2] .

At first he lived in the city of St. Petersburg . He worked in the meat processing holding Parnas. First, a sales manager, then an economist, financier, head of marketing and managing director. He graduated from the North-West Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation , and then St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance [2] .
Since 2004, lives in the city of Tver . Works as managing director - general director of the Tver meat processing plant [2] .
