St. Talmach was a disciple of St. Finbar ( September 25 ), one of the twelve apostles of Ireland , who labored in the southern coastal part of Ireland. He lived on Lake Erk (Lough Erc) ^[1] , where he founded a monastery on the island, consecrated in honor of his teacher.
