Auras - the common name for salts of trivalent gold , in which gold is part of the anion.
Formed, as a rule, when exposed to soluble bases on gold (III) hydroxide Au (OH) 3 .
Differ in low stability, easily decompose when heated.
The alkali metal aurates are readily soluble in water, and their solubility increases as the cation size increases. In aqueous solution can give anions [H 2 AuO 3 ] - , [HAuO 3 ] 2- , [AuO 3 ] 3- . The auras of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Tl (I) [1] are boundedly soluble.
