Chöbsar is a river in Russia , it flows in the Vologda and Sheksninsky districts of the Vologda region . The mouth of the river is located 20 km on the right bank of the river Ugla . The length of the river is 21 km.

The source of the river is located 3 km north-west of the village and the railway Kuschuba . The source of Chöbsary is located near the source of Volbas , here the watershed of the Volga and Northern Dvina basins passes. Only the first three kilometers flow through the Vologda district of Chöbsar, the rest of the river flows through the Sheksna district. The river flows to the south-west, has no large tributaries.
In the upper reaches of the Chöbsar flows through unpopulated forest area, in the middle reaches it flows through the eastern outskirts of the large village of Chebsar. Below on the river are settlements that are administratively related to the village of Chobsar. The river flows into the Corner below the uninhabited village Tolstikovo .

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Upper Volga basin district , the water management section of the river is the Rybinsk reservoir to the Rybinsk hydroelectric complex and the rivers that flow into it, without the Mologa , Suda and Sheksna rivers from the source to the Sheksna hydroelectric complex , the river sub basin of the Rybinsk reservoir. The river basin is the (Upper) Volga to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Oka basin) [2] .
