Akulinskoe is a village in the Mikhailovsky rural district of the Volga rural settlement of the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl region [1] .

The small village is located on the left bank of the Cheryomukha River, which has steep banks about 3 meters high on this site. This is the last settlement of the Volga rural settlement down the right river. Downstream, in the north, stands the village of Maksimovskoye , belonging to another Pokrovsky rural settlement . On the northern outskirts of Akulinsky there was a pioneer camp [2] and opposite to it from the right bank the Ioda River flows into the Cheryumuha, in the mouth of which stands the center of the rural district the village of Mikhailovskoye , the southern outskirts of which is located opposite Akulinskiy. Also on the opposite bank, but a little upstream and to the south is the village of Popovskoe . A road with regular bus service passes through Mikhailovskoye and Popovskoye. Akulinskoe is the northernmost of a group of closely located (at distances of less than 1 km) along the left bank of villages, upstream, to the south-west along the left bank of the Cheremukha, the villages of Ivanovo , Mikhalevo and Orlovskoye follow. A country road from Maksimovskoye to Ivanovskoye and further to Sreten'e passes through these villages along the left bank of the Cheryomukha. On this site, along the left bank of the Chermukha, there are small agricultural lands, further from the river in a westerly direction a forest about 4 km wide begins, beyond which the fields and villages of the Pokrovsky rural settlement begin [3] .

The village of Akulinskaya is indicated on the plan of the General Survey of Rybinsk district in 1792.

The most representative in the Yaroslavl region section of the Early Corygian sediments of the Jurassic system is 200 m above the village of Akulinskoe and for 150 m of a bend of the river on both banks of the River Cheryomukha. In the lower substage of the Kimmeridge floor, ammonites , gastropods , bivalves , shovel-footed , foraminifera are in black clay [4] .

As of January 1, 2007, there were 3 permanent residents in the village [5] . The Mikhailovskoye post office serves 3 houses in the village of Akulinskoe [6] .
