Career
The early years
Max Aaron skated at the age of four. At first he was engaged in hockey, and at the age of nine he also became engaged in figure skating. He participated in national hockey competitions in 2006 and 2007. At the same time, Max Aaron participated in the US Figure Skating Championship, where in 2006 he took fifth place in child damage, and a year later became 13th among juniors. He continued to practice both hockey and figure skating until 2008 . In the same year, Aaron suffered a back injury and was forced to leave the ice for a year.
Later, Max Aaron moved from his native Scottsdale to Colorado Springs , where he trained at the Broadmoor Skating Club and World Arena. His first trainers were Tom Zakraydzhek and Christy Kroll .
Since 2010
A year after leaving due to a back injury, Max Aaron won the bronze medal at the national junior championship. In 2011, he won the silver of the Junior Grand Prix in Japan. Then he obeyed the title of US champion among juniors. At the World Junior Championships 2011 in Gangneung, he took fifth place.
At the 2013 U.S. Championship, Max Aaron sensationally won the gold medal, beating well-known American skaters Jeremy Abbott and Ross Miner . In the short program, he took fourth place with a score of 79.13 points, perfectly performing the cascade of “quadruple salchow - triple toe loop”, triple axel and triple lutz. In the free program, Max Aaron performed two quadruple salchows, one of which was in a cascade with a double sheepskin coat. He scored 175.87 points, beating 5.57 points behind his closest rival, Ross Miner. The result for the sum of the two programs was exactly 255 points.

In September 2015, he won second place in a traditional tournament in Germany , showed excellent skating in the short program, and took first place. Having exceeded his previous achievement in it. Max began the new pre-Olympic season in early September 2016 in Bergamo on the Lombardy Cup . Where he confidently won the bronze award [11] . Two weeks later, he performed in Montreal at the Autumn Classic International tournament, where he took third place in a bitter struggle [12] . In early November, the American skater spoke at the Grand Prix stage in Moscow , where he took a place in the middle of the tournament table at the Rostelecom Cup [13] . Personal life
Max Aaron was born in Scottsdale . His mother worked as a nurse, his father was a pediatrician [19] [20] . Max has a younger sister Madeleine, who is the bronze medalist of the 2013 U.S. Junior Championships, and older Molly, who also does figure skating.
