Creating a gang
The gang consisted of four Habbasov brothers - Gennady, Sergey, Aleksey and Tyulegen. They were from the village of Platovka, Novosergievsky district of the Orenburg region. The oldest of them, Gennady, was over 30 years old at the time of the start of criminal activity, the youngest, Sergey, was 22 years old. The villagers spoke well of the four brothers.
The Habbasov family lived poorly, the brothers' parents worked on the farm. The brothers also engaged in agriculture for some time - they worked at an agrofirm. Then the four brothers moved to Orenburg. Subsequently, they said that they began to commit crimes due to the lack of their own housing. Habbasovs decided to kill alcoholics and take possession of their living space.
Criminal Activity
Habbasovs acted thoughtfully. They previously discussed a plan for committing a crime, selected a place and a murder weapon, distributed roles among themselves.
Brothers picked up their first victims with the help of a resident of Orenburg, a certain Molev. Gennady asked him to find any family of alcoholics. Molev pointed out to his family of acquaintances - his brother and sister, who lived in a dilapidated house with their co-workers. It was not difficult to get them into the confidence of the Habbasovs. Alcoholics are not alarmed by the kindness of new acquaintances, who came every evening to them with moonshine. Therefore, when the Habbasovs offered the owners to sell their house and move to a cottage, the brother and sister agreed. They gave Gennady the power of attorney to dispose of their home. A few days later, the Habbasovs, allegedly with the aim of showing the house for exchange, took the landlord and his woman to the forest, where they both were killed with particular cruelty. Then the killers returned to the house of their victims, took them to the forest and killed the hostess and her roommate. The corpses were thrown into the ravine.
No one was looking for victims of the Habbasovs. The gangsters sold their house and divided the money among themselves.
Molev brought the same family to the next family. A family of six (husband and wife, their daughter, wife’s brother, her uncle and grandmother) was doomed to death from the moment the brothers visited their three-room apartment. They were not stopped by the fact that this apartment was not privatized.
At the persuasion of the brothers to sell the apartment and move out of town, the tenants of the apartment at first did not agree. However, they later agreed, after the Habbasovs gave them money and promised to pay off their debts. The brothers, under the pretext of a trip to a new place of residence, left together with Anna's uncle, Sergey. The car was stopped at the planned place near the ravine, Sergey was offered to go out for a smoke, and one of the brothers hit him with a baseball bat. Sergey put up active resistance, two more Habbasovs attacked him, and the three of them beat their victim to death.
January 11, 2006, one of the brothers arrived at the family home. When asked where Sergey was, Khabbasov replied that he already lives in a house outside the city and is waiting for the rest. Dmitry and Anna believed and together with brother Anton's wife went along with the Habbasovs, taking their newborn daughter with them.
The assassins had foreseen everything. They even took out the handles from the car doors so that the victims could not get out. Dimitri, Anton and Anna Habbasovs were taken one by one out of the car and were beaten to death with rebars and baseball bats. Eighteen-year-old Anna begged not to kill her daughter. Habbasovs planted a newborn girl on the porch of a house in the village of Podgorodnaya Pokrovka, and she miraculously survived on January night.
Anna's grandmother, Valentina Makarova, was held by gangsters for several days in a house in one of the nearby villages. Once a woman saw on television a message about the disappearance of her family. She began to ask the Khabbasovs about this, and they decided to kill her too. In the evening of the same day they took Makarov to a deserted place and killed him.
Arrest, Investigation and Court
Dmitry Makarov's father filed a statement to the police about the loss of his son. The police found that the whole family was gone. Having searched the area near the village of Podgorodnyaya Pokrovka, the police officers found three bodies in a quarry, and a day later two more bodies were thrown into the cattle cemetery by the murderers. After a short time, investigators found four more bodies in the Novosergiyevsky district of the region. After checking, it turned out that these were the bodies of a brother and sister from Orenburg.
Witnesses from the village of Podgornaya Pokrovka showed that they had seen the Oka car stopping on the outskirts of the village that night when a newborn girl was thrown onto the porch of the house. The neighbors of the murdered family also saw the Habbasovs approaching their house on the Oka. A number of witnesses saw Anna, Dmitry and Anton leaving on the Oka.
The Khabbasovs failed to use the apartment of their victims. Once Gennady and Tyulegen in the apartment of the family they killed were looking for documents for living space, hoping to forge signatures. At this time they were detained by operatives. Tyulegen said that they were waiting in the apartment of their acquaintance Sergey Strenin, and they do not know that he disappeared with the whole family.
After interrogation, the brothers were released, but they were monitored. Thus, the police came out on Alexei and Sergey Habbasovs and learned that they had an “Oka” car that was owned by Tyulegen.
On February 12, 2006, all the brothers were detained. After his arrest, Gennady Habbasov attempted to commit suicide, and he had to be charged with round-the-clock security.
During interrogations, the brothers shifted the blame for committing crimes against each other. They calmly described the details of the killings. The Habbas themselves called themselves "nonhumans."
The case of "black realtors" was transferred to the Orenburg Regional Court in November 2006, the process itself was closed. Hubbasov's gunner Molev died during interrogation from a heart attack.
Orenburg Regional Court four brothers were convicted under part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (“Fraud committed as part of an organized group”) and Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“The murder of two or more persons committed as part of an organized criminal group in order to facilitate and conceal other crimes”). Gennady, Aleksey and Tyuben Habbasov were sentenced to life imprisonment in a special regime colony. Sergei Habbasov, who assisted the investigation, received 20 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony.
The three Habbasov brothers sentenced to life sentences sent appeals to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. In particular, one of the killers wrote that he considers the sentence "illegal and excessively harsh." But when examining the case, the judicial panel on criminal cases of the Supreme Court of Russia determined: the sentence of the Orenburg Regional Court was upheld, and the cassation complaints of convicts without satisfaction.
