At the junior world championships, Ivanov won one gold and one silver medal.
In the World Cup, Ivanov made his debut on October 27, 2007 , in January 2008, for the only time in his career, he was in the top three at the World Cup stage, in the sprint in a free style. In addition to the podium, he has 1 in his list of the top ten at the stages of the World Cup in the team sprint. Ivanovβs best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 54th in the 2007/08 season.
