Biography
Marcel Laponder is a British biathlete who was born on May 23, 1978 and now continues his performances at the World Cup and IBU Cup.
Marcel is a good shooter, at the 2011 World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk in the sprint, he was one of two athletes who did not miss a single time (the second was Andrei Makoveev ). Thus, two people got from the UK national team to the sixty best ( Lee-Steve Jackson became the other).

Performances at the 2013 World Cup
At the World Championships in Nove Mesto na Morave, Marcel took 109th place in the sprint. In the individual race, Marcel Laponder took 115th place. The biathlete also participated in the relay for the UK national team at the World Cup, which the Norwegian team brilliantly won. Great Britain took 23rd place, ahead of its competitors: Japan and Serbia. In the relay race, the British closed all ten targets Marcel Laponder and Kevin Kane .
Some facts
In 2012, Marcel Laponder changed his training plan, abandoning cycling in favor of running. βThis year I changed a few things in preparation. I gave up cycling in favor of running. Together with Kevin Kane, we explored many routes in Ruhpolding. In the next few weeks I will continue to experiment and explore forest paths, βLaponder wrote on his blog.
