Uglemetbank Joint-Stock Company (until May 16, 2002 - Mezhdurechensk Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Mortgage Lending - MAKBIK Bank) was founded in 1994, General License of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation No. 2997.

The first President of the bank was Stepura Alexander Ivanovich.

In 1996, coal mining companies became shareholders of the Bank. The period of active development of the Bank begins, as the main direction is settlement and cash services for legal entities. It was during this period (1996-1997) that most of the coal mining and coal processing enterprises of Mezhdurechensk began to work with the Bank.

Since 1999, the Bank has begun to actively develop - the authorized capital is increasing, the client base is growing.

In 2000, the Bank obtained licenses for transactions with foreign currencies, for depository, brokerage, dealer and securities management activities. The range of services is expanding significantly.

At large industrial enterprises (more than 1 thousand people), the Bank's cash desks are opened. Now the employees of these enterprises are given the opportunity not only to receive wages, but also to pay for a number of services (utility bills, payment for electricity, telephone, etc.), being directly at the workplace.

In 2001, the Council of Directors appointed Sergey Vladimirovich Babenkov to the post of General Director. Together with him comes a team of young, skilled and energetic managers. A new stage of development begins: the implementation of the retail bank concept - open to private individuals, within the framework of which the plastic project of the ACCORD system is being introduced.

Simultaneously with the release of the plastic project, the Bank stepped up work to attract time deposits and demand deposits. New types of deposits are being developed and introduced, both in rubles and in foreign currency, taking into account the interests of all groups of the population — youth, retirees, workers and employees.

The year 2002 is marked by the expansion of the geography of the Bank's presence. The first remote unit opened by Uglemetbank in 2002 was a branch in Chelyabinsk. Its main corporate clients were the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, OJSC Ural Forge (Chebarkul), Kaslinsky Plant of Architectural and Art Casting, etc.

In September of the same year, an additional office was opened in Myski (Kemerovo region).

Coalmetbank becomes a member of the Russian money transfer system MIGOM, and the CONTACT system, which allows you to quickly and profitably send money transfers to the regions of Russia and neighboring countries.

In 2003, one of the Bank’s major projects in the field of work with plastic cards was the entry of Uglemetbank into Europay International in order to start issuing and servicing international plastic cards of the Master Card system. Today Uglemetbank serves over 50 thousand issued international Master Card cards.

In the same year, a branch was opened in Moscow, additional offices in Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, a representative office in Tula.

On October 27, 2003, Uglemetbank received a General License from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation - a document that significantly improves the status of the Bank in the eyes of partners and counterparties, and also allows the Bank to open its branches abroad.

In December 2003, Uglemetbank CJSC became the winner of the All-Russian contest “Gold Reserve of the Fatherland-2003”.

Continuing the policy of geographical expansion, in 2004 Uglemetbank opened a branch in Voronezh and additional offices in Chebarkul (Chelyabinsk Region) and another additional office in Myski (Kemerovo Region).

In September 2004, the Bank, participating in a federal level competition, was awarded the diploma “High Service Culture Enterprise - 2004”

On October 28, 2004, the Bank of Russia Banking Supervision Committee issued a positive opinion on the compliance of Uglemetbank OJSC with the requirements for participation in the deposit insurance system. Coalmetbank is included in the register of banks participating in the mandatory deposit insurance system under number 115.

Having created a strong client base and an extensive network of branches and additional offices in Kuzbass (branches in Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk were opened), the bank transferred its head office in Chelyabinsk in 2005 and was transformed into an open joint-stock company.

In the same year, a branch was opened in Izhevsk.

In 2005, Uglemetbank became a laureate in the field of banking of the Russian magazine Banking and a winner in the nomination Best Regional Bank.

2006 year . The Board of Directors appoints Konstantin Anatolyevich Panfilov to the post of General Director of Uglemetbank OJSC.

In the same year, the opening of a credit and cash office of Uglemetbank OJSC in Beloretsk (Republic of Bashkortostan) took place.

In 2008, Igor Vladimirovich Cherepannikov became the Chairman of the Board of Directors, who for a long time worked in the Mechel group of enterprises.

In addition, in 2008 Uglemetbank entered the international plastic card system Visa and becomes a member of the Russian money transfer systems BLIZKO, Unistream.

The year 2009 was marked by the opening of an operational office in Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky Kuzbass branch of Uglemetbank OJSC (Irkutsk Region).

Also in 2009, Uglemetbank OJSC obtained the license of an Exchange intermediary performing commodity futures and option transactions in exchange trading (No. 1294 dated December 16, 2008)

On May 5, 2010, the Board of Directors appointed Nikolai Eduardovich Romanenko, who previously worked as the Deputy General Director of Uglemetbank OJSC, as the General Director of Uglemetbank OJSC.

In mid- May 2010, the new operational office of Uglemetbank OJSC began to operate in Belovo, the Kemerovo Region.

In June of the same year , another private customer service office was opened in Mezhdurechensk, Kemerovo Region.

In October 2010, operating cash desks were opened in Beloretsk (the Republic of Bashkortostan) and in Guryevsk (the Kemerovo Region).

In June 2011 Uglemetbank was awarded a diploma of the competition “Financial Market of Kuzbass-2010” and was recognized as the best in the nomination “Trust and Reliability”.

In November of the same year, Uglemetbank OJSC opened a new Additional Office in Moscow.

In December 2011, the Bank was awarded the Cbonds Awards for organizing the “Best Initial Bonds Transaction”.

In February 2013, Uglemetbank OJSC launched its own processing center based on the SmartVista product family. The Bank was able to fully control the payment business, quickly issue various types of card products, effectively manage the network of ATMs and terminals, and also offer additional services to its customers. Its own processing center allowed the Bank to introduce a new “Internet Bank” system for individuals, which provides customers with the ability to manage accounts, make various payments and transfers, order new products and services - all this at any time, anywhere in the world.

On June 27, 2014, a new Chairman of the Management Board of Uglemetbank OJSC was elected - Tatyana Viktorovna Bessmertnykh.

On September 4, 2015, the reorganization of Neryungribank JSC was completed by merging with Uglemetbank JSC.
