In the official channel "Elysium" on YouTube, the group also posted a video version of "Friday, 13 Live" [1] .

Record History

When we change the arrangement a little, fans will forgive us, very often you can hear “why did you do this, it's awful”, and people who recently discovered the group write that on the contrary, the new version sounds more interesting. Well, it tastes and color, you will not please.

Egor Baranov, cellist and keyboardist of Elysium [3]

On April 13, 2012, on Friday, the Elysium group held a large recital at the Moscow club P! Pl, dedicated to Cosmonautics Day and the onset of spring [4] . Initially, the group did not see anything remarkable in this performance to release a live album on its basis, but it so happened that on that day the musicians needed the presence of recording equipment in the club and the presence of friends with video cameras. Elysium musicians then took the side of protest against the criminal prosecution of the punk rock band Pussy Riot ( see The Pussy Riot Case ), and in support of its members decided to make a music video address by performing the anti-religious song “And crumble into dust” [5] [1] .

As a result, in addition to performing in support of Pussy Riot, much more was recorded - approximately a fourth of the entire concert. Elysium decided to publish the share of songs from this recorded material on the Internet as a concert album, Friday, 13 Live. The group admits that the album didn’t include the most popular compositions and not the most spectacular performances, however, some songs at the concert on April 13, 2012 were performed in an unconventional performance, different from the original studio versions familiar to the audience: “Tears-mirrors”, “Mountaineer”, “ All year round ”,“ Super Robot ”,“ Mind Games ”,“ Soon ”,“ And it will crumble to dust ”,“ State of the world ” [1] . Two songs, “Alcoholic” and “Ska for Acid Girls”, were distinguished by the fact that instead of the vocalist of Elysium, Alexander Telekhov, they were sung by other members of the group - guitarist Kirill Krylov and cellist / keyboardist Egor Baranov [4] . The album’s list of songs also includes the Disco `80 set Vol. 1 ”- one of the concert musical performances of“ Elysium ”, consisting of cover versions of various disco hits of the 80s [4] [6] .
