Biography
Pavel Alekseevich Zhuvasin was born in 1908 in the village. Podgorny Kugarchinsky district of Bashkiria.
Russian. Primary education. Prior to being drafted into the army, he worked as a driver in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk Region.
He was drafted into the Soviet Army by the Magnitogorsk Military Commissariat in 1939. He was a participant in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. At the front of World War II since June 1941.
Senior sergeant P.A. Zhuvasin distinguished himself on October 1, 1943 in the battle for the release of s. Kutsevolovka Onufrievskogo district of the Kirovograd region.
He died the death of the brave on October 4, 1944 in one of the battles in the Romanian city of Turda. Buried in Turda (Romania). In Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk region, on the Left Bank cemetery, a cenotaph is installed. [1] .
Feat
Assistant commander of a platoon of machine gunners of the 307th Guards Rifle Regiment (110th Guards Rifle Division, 37th Army, Steppe Front) of the Guard Senior Sergeant P. A. Zhuvasin on October 1, 1943 in the battle for the liberation of Kutsevolovka Onufrievskogo district of the Kirovograd region at the head of a platoon was the first to burst into the village and destroyed a machine gun calculation of the enemy with a grenade, thereby ensuring the further advance of our infantry. He also captured a German gun.
On October 6, 1943, in a battle for a height of 167.8, he was the first to break into the trenches of the Germans and destroy 7 Hitlerites with grenades, and 2 captured. On October 12, 1943, reflecting the enemy’s counterattack at an altitude of 177.0, P.A. Zhuvasin’s unit was surrounded. P.A. Zhuvasin led the platoon into a counterattack, which confused the Germans and forced them to retreat.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union P.A. Zhuvasin was awarded on February 22, 1944.

Memory
- A street in the city of Magnitogorsk is named after the Hero of the Soviet Union P. A. Zhuvasin. A memorial plaque in honor of the Hero is installed on one of the houses of the city.
- Zhuvasin Street is located in the Northern microdistrict of the village of Mrakovo, Republic of Bashkortostan.
