Biography
Mikhail Pavlovich Krivorotov was born on September 10, 1920 in the village of Novo-Konstantinovka, Blagovarsky District, Bashkir ASSR.
Russian. He graduated from seven classes. Before the war, he worked as a combine driver at a state farm.
In the Soviet Army drafted by the Blagovarsky military registration and enlistment office in 1940. Member of the Great Patriotic War since June 1941 .
The senior tank driver of the 1st Tank Regiment (1st Tank Brigade, 21st Army, South-Western Front) Komsomol member Private M. P. Krivorotov distinguished himself in battles under p. Shtepovka (Lebedinsky district of Sumy region).
Died February 18, 1943 in the hospital [1] [2] . He was buried in the city of Astrakhan [3] .
Feat
“October 1, 1941,” it is noted in the award list [4] , - M. P. Krivorotov drove a tank seven times to attack the enemy, finding firing points, corrected the fire of the tank gun and sent the tank to the target. One anti-tank gun, five large-caliber machine guns, two enemy mortar batteries were destroyed, several cars were crushed by a tank.
In the last attack from an artillery shell hit, the tank caught fire, all crew members, except the driver, were killed. Wounded MP Krivorotov sent a burning tank to the enemy's artillery battery. At the location of the battery the tank exploded. The guns of the enemy were silent. A few moments before the explosion, M. P. Krivorotov managed to get out of the tank. ”
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union MP Krivorotov was awarded on November 20, 1941.
