Biography
Oleg Alexandrovich Erastov was born in 1940 in the village of Vakhrushi, Slobodsky District, Kirov Region (Russia).
Education
- In 1962 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Chemistry at Kazan State University.
- From 1962 to 1965 he studied in graduate school of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Kazan State University under the leadership of Academician B. A. Arbuzov .
- In 1975 he defended his doctoral thesis.
Activity
Oleg Alexandrovich Erastov began his career in 1965 as a research assistant at the laboratory of the structure and reactivity of organic compounds of the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry. A. E. Arbuzov (IOF), led by Academician Boris Alexandrovich Arbuzov. Continuing to study the tautomerism of ketoenols, mainly the influence of solvents on the equilibrium state of tautomers, Oleg Aleksandrovich expanded the scope of application of the Meier equation for equilibrium systems.
In 1970, O. A. Erastov headed the laboratory at one of the sectoral institutes of Kazan. Distinguished by exceptional diligence, deep scientific erudition, thirst for knowledge, he continues to study tautomeric systems, collaborates with the laboratory of academician B. A. Arbuzov and in 1975 defended his doctoral dissertation. In the same year, he returned to the Institute of Physics and Chemistry at the Laboratory for the Structure and Reactivity of Organic Compounds for the position of Senior Researcher and changes the subject of research. At the suggestion of B. A. Arbuzov, he began working in the field of organophosphorus chemistry.
Purposeful research in the field of the chemistry of functionally substituted phosphines allowed OA Erastov to develop a new scientific direction - the chemistry of boroxyalkylphosphines and their derivatives. During these years, O. A. Erastov developed methods for the synthesis of heterocyclic phosphines, studies their spatial structure and chemical properties, discovered a number of new chemical reactions and rearrangements, discovered a new type of tautomerism — complex salt tautomerism, synthesized metal complexes of functional-substituted foxins, and revealed some practically useful properties of the substances obtained. In 1986, the monograph was released - O.A. Erastov, G.N.Nikonov “Functionally substituted phosphines and their derivatives”, M., Science.
In 1985, O. A. Erastov headed the laboratory of nitrogenous compounds of the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry. A. E. Arbuzov.
According to the results of research O.A. Erastova published more than 200 scientific works, thirty copyright certificates. Under the direction of O. A. Erastov, two doctoral and seven master's theses were defended.
O. A. Erastov died in 1988.
