Located 8 km southeast of the city of Vyshny Volochyok , on the river Tvertsa .

History
The village was formed in the 1980s by combining the village of White Omut (on the right bank of Tvertsa, now Zarechnaya St.) and Nikolskaya Sloboda (on the left bank, the main part of the village).
The settlement arose as a monastic settlement at the St. Nicholas-Stolpen Monastery .
Attractions
On the bank of Tvertsa the Nikolsky Monastery and the gate bell tower of the former Nikolo-Stolpensky desert .
Famous People
Hero of the Soviet Union A.S. Vinogradov (1905-1947) was buried at the Nikolsky cemetery.
