The monument to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in Irkutsk was established in 1952. Sculptor - N.V. Tomsky , architect - L.G. Golubovsky.

Content

History

The monument was unveiled on September 23, 1952, on the corner of Lenin and Karl Marx Streets in the Kirovsky District of Irkutsk (now the Right - Bank District ).

In 2008, the monument was reconstructed - the sculpture was dismantled, the pedestal was dismantled and folded again, the square around the monument was landscaped [1] .

  • Monument to Lenin in Irkutsk is the author's copy of the monument created by sculptor N.V. Tomsky for Voronezh . The same monuments were cast for Vilnius and Leningrad [2] .
