History
The Hartford Bysentennials Club was founded before the expansion of the SAFL in 1975. The name was chosen in connection with the upcoming bicentennial of the United States. In the debut season, the team won 6 victories in 22 matches, the remaining 16 lost and took last place in the Northern Division. Yugoslav Emir Travlyanin, who scored 4 goals, became the best scorer of the Baysentennials. The 1976 season became more successful: out of 24 games, the team won 12, and John Coyne with 9 goals became the club's top scorer.
Before the 1977 season, the team moved from Hartford to New Haven and became known as the Connecticut Bicentennials. The team's top scorer was Yado Khasanbegovich, who scored 4 goals and made 2 assists. The club again took last place in the division. At the end of the season, the team moved to Auckland and received the name Auckland Stompers .
