Khe is a now defunct settlement in the Nadym district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District . Located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ob , 50 kilometers west of the mouth of the Nadym River [1] .

History
The village began to form in 1880 as the place from which Orthodox missionary activity began .
In 1896, 6 residential buildings, 5 non-residential buildings, 4 baths were built in He.
In 1898, Hieromonk Vasily (Biryukov) created the Khan missionary camp. In 1908, the church of St. Nicholas was built. By this time, there were already 17 houses. He served as the permanent residence of one of the stupid missionaries [2] . To the ringing of church bells, the Nenets , Zyryans , Russian Cossacks from all nearby villages and camps of Yamal gathered at church holidays [3] .
In 1914, a boarding school was opened here [2] . In 1918, a boarding school for children of all nationalities began working in the village.
In 1920, the power of the Bolsheviks was established and an executive agricultural committee was organized.
In 1920-1921 - a layout with the seizure of deer, boats, fishing gear, expensive clothing, and other values from the population.
In 1921, the Hansky Village Revolutionary Committee was organized.
From March to May 1920, the villagers participated in the anti-Bolshevik rebellion.
In 1922, an epidemic of smallpox swept through He; 4 out of 15 male fishing cooperatives remained.
With the formation on November 3, 1923, the Obdorsky district of Khe became the center of the Khan village council [4] .
From the summer of 1927 to August 17, 1930, the formal head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne, Metropolitan Peter (Polyansky), was serving a link in He [2] . In this village, messengers from the Moscow Patriarchate went to the ends of the world. They brought mail, parcels, all kinds of messages about the life of the Church [3] .
On December 10, 1930, the Obnorsky district was abolished, and the village of Khe became the temporary administrative of the newly formed Nadym district while the village of Nyda was rebuilt, where the center of the Nadym district was moved in 1934 [1] .
In 1932 - the organization of the collective farm "Industrialist".
In 1934, a bell was removed from the church and icons were burnt.
In 1942 - the establishment of the Voentorg residence with permission to harvest meat, game, mushrooms and berries.
In 1973, a massive relocation of the population to the village of Kutopyugan began .
In 1994, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, during a trip to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, consecrated the foundation of a rebuilt chapel in the village of Khe.
At the turn of the XX-XXI centuries, the village was called “almost disappeared” - here for several months in a year the descendants of old-timers lived, caring for the monuments on the churchyard and chapel [2] .
Current status
Currently, in the abandoned village there is the only house built in the 1950s for the settling nomads, other buildings of an earlier period have not been preserved. In 1990, an Orthodox chapel was built at the old rural cemetery [1] .
