Content
Story
New York covers a wave of strange and terrible murders. The husband of one of the victims, the drug lord, hires a former policeman to get to his wife’s killer. Private detective Skudder sees what the police do not notice, and penetrates where the cops are afraid to even stick their nose. Unraveling the evil crimes, he realizes that people are afraid of the wrong thing.
