Club career
Maxim is a graduate of the Espanyol Academy. In the 2009/10 season, he played in Espanyol B , and in the 2010/11 season, he was rented by the Badalona Club. In 2011, he moved to the Romanian club " Panduri ", serving at that time in League I.
January 31, 2013 Maxim signed a contract with the Bundesliga club " Stuttgart " for a period of 4.5 years [2] . As part of the “Swabians”, Alexander made his debut on February 14, 2013, in the UEFA Europa League playoff match against Genk [3] . On February 23, 2013, he made his debut for “Stuttgart” in the Bundesliga match against Nuremberg .
In the summer of 2017, Alexander Maxim moved to Mainz 05 , signing a contract until 2021 [4] . In the first season for Mainz 05, the central midfielder played 22 matches and scored 2 goals in the Bundesliga.
