Garden of graceful words

“The Garden of Graceful Words ” ( Jap. 言 の 葉 の 庭 Kotonoha no Niva ) is a full - length dramatic animated film directed by Makoto Shinkai ’s own original script and shot by CoMix Wave Films . The film premiered on April 28, 2013 at the Gold Coast Film Festival In Australia . The film was released in Japan on May 31, 2013. In honor of this event on the channel Nippon Television during the broadcast of the previous work of Sinkaya - “ Behind the Clouds ” - a five-minute trailer of the new film was shown [1] [2] .

Content

Story

Takao is a 15-year-old schoolboy who dreams of becoming a shoe designer in the future. On rainy days, he misses school and instead draws sketches of shoes in a Japanese-style garden. Once, skipping school, Takao meets in the garden a mysterious woman named Yukino, who looks older than him. After this meeting, Yukino and Takao met more than once in the garden and talked on light topics, but only on rainy days. Soon they become a little closer to each other than just friends, but the rainy season ends ...

Creation

The backgrounds used in the film are mainly based on photographs taken at Shinjuku Gyoen Park [3] .

Release

On August 28, 2013, Reanimedia announced the purchase of a license to release a film in Russia. On anime discs in Russia was released September 16, 2014.

Manga and Romance

Music

The music for the anime was written by the talented composer Daisuke Kashiwa , who combines neo-classical and ambient in his music. . Daisuke Kashiwa replaced the composer Tammon in this project.

The songs in the project are performed by Noriyuki Makihara and Motohiro Hata.
