History
Oceania Field Hockey Federation was founded in 1954 in Wellington ( New Zealand ). By 1980, it included 4 national associations of the countries of Australia and Oceania. In 2012 , 9 countries were members of OHF.
Since 1999, the Oceania Championship (Cup) has been held among male and female national teams. In addition, the Pacific Championships are being played, in which the teams of Australia and New Zealand do not participate, significantly exceeding the level of skill of the teams of other OHF member countries.
Official Competitions
As part of its operations, the Oceania Field Hockey Federation is responsible for hosting the following tournaments:
- Oceania Championships among national teams - once every two years for odd years;
- Oceania Championships among youth national teams ;
- Field Hockey Tournaments as part of the Pacific Games ;
- Pacific Championships among national teams .
