Biography

Aleksey Ivanovich Rutchin [1] was born on December 6, 1911 in the village of Isyangulovo, now in the Zianchura district of Bashkiria, in a peasant family.

Russian. Graduated 6 classes of school.

He worked on a livestock farm on the collective farm named after Kuibyshev, Zianchurinsky District, in 1936-1941 - on the construction of the Kattakurgan reservoir in the Samarkand region of the Uzbek SSR.

In October 1941, he was called up to the Red Army by the Bor district military registration and enlistment office of the Kuibyshev region. He came to the front in December 1942, in 1943 he joined the VKP (b).

Guard foreman Rutchin distinguished himself on October 7, 1943 in a battle on the right bank of the Dnieper near the village of Kutsevolovka (Onufrievsky district of the Kirovograd region).

In this battle, he was seriously injured and died the same day [2] . A hero from Bashkiria was buried in the village of Kutsevolovka [3] .

Aleksey Ivanovich Rutchin was awarded this title of Hero of the Soviet Union for the exemplary performance of the combat missions of the command and the heroism and courage shown posthumously on February 22, 1944 [4] .

Feat

“The senior driver of the 109th Guards Separate Anti-Tank Fighter Division (110th Guards Rifle Division, 37th Army, Steppe Front) Guards Sergeant-Major Ratchchin distinguished himself in battle on October 7, 1943 on the right bank of the Dnieper in the district with. Kutsevolovka (Onufrievsky district, Kirovograd region): when enemy infantry broke into the rear of the division, Rutchin organized a perimeter defense and with the unit’s fighters repelled the attacks of the Nazis. Left alone, he continued firing until reinforcements arrived. In this battle, was mortally wounded. " [5] .

The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded posthumously on February 22, 1944 [4] .

Memory

The street is named after the hero in the village of Isyangulovo, Zianchurinsky district of Bashkiria. A memorial plaque is installed on the building of the school where he studied.
