Walter Trout ( born Walter Trout ; born March 6, 1951 ) is an American blues guitarist and songwriter . According to a survey by BBC Radio 1 host Trout shared with Brian May 6th place on the list of 20 greatest guitarists [1] .

Biography
Walter Trout was born in Ocean City , New Jersey , on March 6, 1951. In 1969, he began performing in his native Jersey, and in the early 1970s he moved to Los Angeles , where he accompanied Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones, and also played in groups of John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex. In 1981, he was admitted to Canned Heat as a guitarist, but soon left the band, joining John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers [2] .
In 1989, Trout began a solo career, forming his own project Walter Trout Band. The team has successfully toured North America , Europe and India . In 1998, he was renamed Walter Trout and the Free Radicals, and a little later - Walter Trout and the Radicals. In 2001, only the leader’s name remained - Walter Trout.
In 2006, Walter realized his long-held dream of working on an album with his most respected musicians. This record was the album Full Circle , prepared with the participation of John Mayall , Jeff Healy , Joe Bonamassa and others [3] . The album reached number two on the Billboard magazine's Top Blues Albums charts. [4] Full Circle succeeded only in the 2012 Blues For The Modern Daze album, which took 4th place in Top Blues Albums [4] .
