Johann Amann ( German: Johann Nepomuk Amann ; May 19, 1765 , Gutenburg - November 28, 1834 , ibid.) - Austrian-German architect, who worked mainly in Vienna .

A native of the Duchy of Baden . In 1789 he entered the Vienna Academy , in 1793 he was sent to Rome , where he was admitted to the Academy. Bows ; upon returning to the fatherland invited to Vienna [1] .
The construction of a court church ( Kirche am Hof , 1799), a theater, a large market and a plan for the general decoration of Vienna gave the architect a reputation for being a skilled and talented builder and the title of court architect for the death of Proše (1803) [1] .

- reconstruction of the bell tower of St. Stephen's in Vienna (1810-1813),
- the construction of a new court theater,
- repair of the Schönbrunn Palace , the construction of a palace water supply system, the “anglization” of the garden (1817–1819), and the architect skillfully took advantage of the terrain to achieve the full effect.
He also worked on the sarcophagus of Empress Maria-Louis and the Alksinger Mausoleum [1] .
