Compacted crops ( mixed or compacted crops ) - joint simultaneous (or separate - in the aisle) crops of two or more crops in the same area. This agrarian technology makes it possible to more fully utilize the energy of the sun — the leaves of the plants are formed in different tiers, the fertility of arable land — the root system of the main crop and various plants-compactors are laid and developed in different soil horizons. Used to obtain more yield from one unit of area while sowing or planting. Sowing lodging and strength-bearing plants in the same area facilitates the mechanization of harvesting [1] . In addition, joint mixed crops are recommended to be used as a means of biological protection of cultivated plants from pests and diseases [2] .
Protective or tiller crops are a type of compacted crop. High-stemmed, fast-growing plants: corn , peas (on supports) are planted as backstage, and between them cucumbers or tomatoes are grown in the central and northern regions, and late cabbage in the south [3] .

Methodology
The location of crops in mixed (compacted) crops determine the dates of sowing and harvesting for the ability to carry out mechanized cultivation. At the same time, the intensity of the photosynthesis process is practically not reduced, since the leaf plates of plants of different cultures are formed on different tiers. There are two main options for mixed or compacted sowing:
- the seeds of cultures are mixed immediately before sowing and sown simultaneously in a row;
- the seeds of the main crop are sown in the traditional way, and then the seeds of the compactor culture are sown at the same time as the main plants are sown, or the technology of double independent sowing of crops in the same area is used.
When applying this technology of cultivation, the density of standing of the main crop does not differ from the placement of clean crops, and the number of plants of the compactor should not exceed 30 ... 50% of the density of standing in clean crops of this culture [4] .
