Bozoy [1] ( kaz. Bozoy ) is a village in the Shalkar district of the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the Bozoj rural district. It is located about 187 km south-south-west of the city of Shalkar , the administrative center of the district, near the border with Uzbekistan . The KATO code is 156437100 [2] .

Near the village there is a compressor station No. 10 (KS-10) of the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline , built in the early 1960s. 1 km south-west of the village is a landing site for helicopters and light aircraft .
In the vicinity of the village runs the route of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline , built in 2010-2015. [3]
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 2530 people (1259 men and 1271 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 2349 people lived in the village (1220 men and 1129 women) [4] .
