Edema ( Kazakh. Өtek , until 1998 - Novoaleksandrovka [1] ) - an aul in the Khobdinsky district of the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center and the only settlement of the Oteksky rural district. The KATO code is 154261100 [2] .

In 1999, the population of the aul was 916 people (475 men and 441 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 517 people lived in the aul (259 men and 258 women) [3] .
