Zaslavsky, Ritaliy Zinovievich

Born March 4, 1928 in Kiev.

First began to print as a poet since 1946 .

In 1962 he graduated from the Moscow Literary Institute .

He translated poems from different languages: Azerbaijani, English, Armenian, Georgian, Hebrew, Yiddish, Spanish, Moldavian, Serboluzhitsky, Serbo-Croatian, Ukrainian, French and Gypsy into Russian and other languages.

The author of more than a hundred books ^[1] .

Ritaly Zinovievich Zaslavsky passed away, a wonderful person, a talented Poet, writer, translator, literary critic, winner of many literary prizes. For the development of Russian-Ukrainian relations by Decree of the President of Russia, he, the only Russian poet in Ukraine, was awarded the Pushkin Medal. Ritaly Zinovievich was a kind, honest and decent man, sensitive and responsive comrade. Everyone who knew him remembers a pleasant smile, excellent Russian speech, intelligent, all-understanding eyes ^[1] .

• Pushkin Medal ( July 8, 2003 , Russia ) - for his great contribution to the development and strengthening of Russian-Ukrainian cultural ties ^[2] .
