Biography
Born in the city of Lysychansk, Voroshilovgrad region (now the Luhansk region of Ukraine ). Russian. Education 10 classes [2] .
In the Navy since 1971. In 1976 he graduated from the P.S. Nakhimov Black Sea Higher Naval School , in 1981 - the Higher Special Officer Classes of the Navy , in 2000 - the courses of officers at the Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N. G. Kuznetsov [ 2] .
From September 1976 to August 1979 he worked as an engineer of a missile warhead ( warhead-2 ), from August 1979 to October 1980 - assistant commander of a nuclear submarine K-108 of the Pacific Fleet . Member of many long trips and military services. He made a great contribution to the testing and development of new military equipment, perfectly mastered the skills of servicing missile weapons of nuclear submarines [2] .
Since July 1981, he served in the military unit of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR and the Russian Federation [2] .
Captain 1st rank (September 29, 1990) [2] .
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 16, 2005 “for courage and bravery shown in the performance of military duty”, Captain 1st Rank Vaganov Alexander Vladlenovich was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation with the award of a special distinction - the Gold Star medal (No. 849) [ 2] .
He served as a civilian specialist in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in military unit 45707 .
He lived in the city of St. Petersburg. He was buried at the Serafimovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg [3] .
