Toyohara Kunitika ( Japanese 豊 原 国 п Toyohara: Kunitika , 1835 - 1900 ) is a Japanese artist, one of the leading masters of ukiyo-e at its last stage of development.

Biography
At the age of 13, Yasokhashi Oshima (real name of the artist) entered the apprenticeship of Utagawa Kunisade .
He took himself a creative pseudonym - Kunitika, which consisted of the first characters of his two teachers . Kunitika performed several portraits of Utagawa Kunisada and also a memorial portrait in memory of the teacher. Kunitika was one of the last masters to preserve the classic Ukiyo-e traditions. [one]
