Biography
Born March 21, 1968 in the city of Kem in a family of hydraulic engineers. Mother - Ninel Toivovna Hakkarainen. From 1974 to 1977 he was brought up in the family of his grandfather - Honored Worker of Culture of the KASSR and the RSFSR Toivo Alexandrovich Hakkarainen in the city of Sortavala . Since 1977, permanently resides in Petrozavodsk . He studied at the correspondence department of the Journalism Department of Leningrad State University . Photographs by Mikhail Skripkin illustrate many official publications about the Republic of Karelia , published articles and photographs in the central publications of Russia and the former USSR many times. Creative Projects
In the State Duma of the Russian Federation in 2006, the Kizhi Museum-Reserve presented the author's photo exhibition by M. Skripkin “Kizhi. Seasons ”, exhibited more than 70 works of authorship. In 2012, the Karelian-Finnish epic was again reprinted by the Forever publishing house with the text in Russian and Finnish in the children's gift version “Silver“ Kalevala “”. The poetic translation was done by Eino Kiuru and Armas Mishin. For children, an abridged version was prepared by Armas Mishin. The book was designed by Vladimir Lobanov. Illustrations were performed by a young and talented artist Anastasia Trifanova. M. Skripkin - author of two personal photo albums: “Kizhi. Balaam. Solovki. The nature and treasures of the Russian North ”(2008) and“ The Tale of the Russian North ”(2012). The author began work on a photo album about the three shrines of Orthodoxy in 2004 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.
