Biography

Born on October 31 ( November 12 ), 1,905, in Lukoml (now the Chashniki district , Vitebsk region , Belarus ). He graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in 1931 . In 1932-1946 he worked in synthetic rubber plants. In 1944-1946 he taught at the Yaroslavl Institute of Technology (from 1945 - professor). Since 1946 he worked at VNIISK and at the same time since 1948 - at the Institute of High Molecular Compounds of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR . Often visited Efremov . When the construction of a new production complex for the production of regular divinyl rubber began at the Efremov Synthetic Rubber Plant in 1962 , he was appointed curator of the new production. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1964), corresponding member (1958). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1945.

He died on July 18, 1994 . He was buried in Moscow at the Don cemetery (section 1c) with Vera Iosifovna Morozova (1915-2002).

Scientific activity

He created the basis for the synthesis of rubber by emulsion polymerization. He discovered redox initiation of radical processes. In 1957, he developed a technology for producing a stereo-butadiene direction. Conducted research in the field of stereospecific catalysis.
