The 26th Nika National Cinematic Prize Awards Ceremony for 2012 was held on April 2, 2013 at the Moscow State Academic Operetta Theater . Winners of honorary awards and nominees in competitive categories were announced at a press conference on March 6, 2013.

Special Prizes
The Academy Council decided to perpetuate the name of the outstanding contemporary director Alexei German and assign his name to the Prize "For Outstanding Contribution to Russian Cinema".
- The winners of the first Prize “For Outstanding Contribution to Domestic Cinema” named after Alexei German were outstanding masters of Russian cinema: State Prize winner, People’s Artist of Russia Vadim Yusupovich Abdrashitov and State Prize winner, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Anatolyevich Mindadze .
- The prize of the Russian Academy of Motion Picture Arts in the nomination “ Honor and Dignity ” was awarded to outstanding figures of Russian cinema, whose names are inextricably linked not only with fruitful work together, but also with their whole lives: People’s Artist of the USSR Inna Mikhailovna Churikova and People's Artist of the RSFSR Gleb Panfilov [1] . (The awards were presented by Eldar Ryazanov , Leah Akhedzhakova , Alexander Shirvindt and Mikhail Shvydkoi )
Also, the Academy Council this year decided to present:
- Prize " For contribution to the cinematographic sciences, criticism and education " to the film historian, leading specialist of the State Film Fund , the artistic director of the White Pillars festival, Vladimir Yuryevich Dmitriev . (The award was presented by Harry Bardin ) [2]
- The special prize " For creative achievements in the art of television cinema " was awarded to director Sergei Vladimirovich Ursulyak for the television film " Life and Fate . " (The award was presented by Konstantin Raikin )
