Marcus Morris ( born Mar 2, 1989 , Philadelphia , PA , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who plays in the New York Knicks National Basketball Association . His twin brother Markiff plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder Club. Marcus is seven minutes younger than Markiff.

Professional career
He graduated from Prep Charter HS / APEX Academy (NJ), after which he and his brother entered the University of Kansas, where for three seasons from 2008 to 2011 he played for the local Kansas Jawhawks team. In his first season at NSAA, Marcus appeared on the court in 35 matches. His average statistics were 7.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 interceptions on average for 18.5 minutes at the site. Starting from the second season, progress began to be observed in the Morris game, in 36 games in 24.7 minutes, on average, he scored 12.8 points per game, made 6.1 rebounds with a percentage of sales of the game rolls 57%.
In the third season, the Morris brothers, together with a team from Kansas, beat one team after another, analysts predicted Kansas victory in the 2011 NSAA championship, however, at the Elite Eight playoff stage (elite eight), the team lost and did not reach the Final Four. This season was absolutely the best for Marcus at NSAA. His statistics amounted to 17.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists with last year's 57% of shots and 28.3 minutes on average per match. He improved the free throw to 69%. At the end of the 2010/11 season, he was recognized as the best player in the Big-12 conference. Also included in the second All-American 2011 team, according to the Associated Press and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. March 30, 2011 elected to the John R. Wooden Award Men's All American team.
Maurice was selected in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets Club under a common number 14. His twin brother was chosen five minutes before him by the Phoenix Suns club. Marcus is believed to have great talent.
On February 21, 2013, Houston traded Marcus Morris to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the right to choose in the second round of the 2013 draft pick [1] . Thus, Marcus was in the same team with his twin brother Markiff . In the 2012/13 season, his indicators were 8.6 points and an average of 4.1 rebounds per game.
