Before World War II, Barnes managed to gain recognition in the scientific world and high academic achievements, but later turned out to be outside the scientific community due to his pro-German views and the subsequent denial of the Holocaust , one of the founders of which he was. The denial of the Barnes Holocaust was formed on the basis of the myth that most Jews survived by moving to other countries. In 1968, Barnes accused Israel of receiving money from Germany for fictional Jewish corpses [1] [2] .

After 1945, no publisher wanted to publish Barnes' works, so he published them at his own expense.
