Aleurolite

Alevrolit (from the Greek. Ἄλευρον - flour and λίθος - stone) - solid sedimentary rock . Formed from silt in the process of lithification .

Content

Composition

It consists of grains of irregular shape, 0.01–0.1 mm in size (according to other data - 0.005–0.05 mm). There are three varieties of siltstone in the form of the constituent particles: coarse-grained, different-grained and fine-grained [1] . The basis of siltstone is quartz , there may also be particles of feldspar , clay minerals , sometimes there are carbonates and iron hydroxides.

Prey

Alevrolit is mined mainly for the production of cement and garden paths. It can be found in coal mines between coal seams.
