During the Irkutsk fire of 1879, the temple burned, but upon restoration, its original appearance was observed. The name of the temple was named Tikhvinskaya street (now - Sukhe-Bator street ) and Tikhvinskaya square (now - the square of Count Speransky ).
The architecture of the Tikhvin temple was characteristic of the Siberian Baroque of the mid-18th century [1] . In 1932 it was closed and soon demolished.
