The Imperial Admiralty is the naval agency of Kaiser Germany , founded by the German Kaiser Wilhelm I on January 1, 1872 . The head of the Admiralty and the administration of the imperial fleet were located in the Imperial Admiralty. It existed until April 1, 1889 , when, as part of the reorganization, it was divided into three structures:
- High Fleet Command,
- Imperial Ministry of the Sea,
- Marine office.

- Leo von Caprivi - from March 20, 1883 to July 5, 1888.
- Alexander von Monts - from July 5, 1888 to January 19, 1889.
