Career

Gafarov made his debut in the World Cup on December 16, 2007 , in January 2009, for the only time in his career, he was in the top three at the World Cup stage in the sprint. In addition to the podium, he has 17 hits in the top thirty at the stages of the World Cup, 15 in the personal sprint and 2 in the team. Gafarov’s best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 63rd in the 2011/12 season. In the 2010/11 season, he won the overall final standings of the Eastern European Cup.

During his career he took part in one world championship , at the 2009 world championship in Liberec he took 42nd place in the sprint in free style.
