The coat of arms was approved by the decision of the Iskatelsky Village Council No. 183 dated 06/26/2012 [1] [2]
The coat of arms is entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 7955 [3] .

“In the azure field there is an inscribed golden torch , the azure flame of which is in the silver chapter; behind the torch are a golden hammer (with a sharp end inward) and a pickaxe crosswise. ”
Coat of Arms Symbolism
The working village of Seekers is located on the right bank of the river. Pechory , 6 km from the city of Naryan-Mar . It exists as a geological exploration village since 1968. The village received the name Seekers on March 20, 1974 . By the decision of the Executive Committee of the Arkhangelsk Regional Council of Workers 'Deputies dated March 1, 1982 No. 78, the village of Seekers was assigned to the category of workers' settlements. On June 25, 1982, the first organizational session of the People’s Deputies of the Seeking Village Council of the first convocation was held and the Village Council was formed. By the Law of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug dated February 24, 2005 No. 557-OZ “On the Administrative Territorial Structure of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug” the Iskateli working village is given the status of a municipality - urban settlement: (the administrative center is the Iskateli working village), which is part of the territory of the municipal district “ Zapolyarny district . ”
The symbolism of the coat of arms of the working village of Seekers is ambiguous:
- - a torch, as if arising from the tip of the coat of arms - an allegory of a borehole that goes into the bowels of the earth;
- - azure flame - a symbol of the wealth of the subsoil of the Nenets Autonomous Area with oil and gas , produced by Naryanmarneftegaz LLC, Nenets Oil Company OJSC, located in the working village of Iskateli and which are city-forming enterprises;
- - crossed tools of geologists (hammer and pickaxe) symbolize the initial purpose of the village and the enterprise CJSC Severgeoldobycha, OJSC Naryan-Marseysmorazvedka, LLC Pomorneftegazgeofizika, associated with geological exploration;
- - the color scheme of the coat of arms (silver damasked under the Northern Lights , and azure damasked with snowflakes) symbolizes the location of the working village of Seekers beyond the Arctic Circle in the permafrost zone.
- - Azure - a symbol of the Pechora River and its many branches and channels. Azure is also a symbol of exalted aspirations, sincerity, devotion, rebirth.
- - azure flame - a symbol of the wealth of the subsoil of the Nenets Autonomous Area with oil and gas , produced by Naryanmarneftegaz LLC, Nenets Oil Company OJSC, located in the working village of Iskateli and which are city-forming enterprises;
Gold is a symbol of wealth, stability, respect and intelligence, vitality.
Coat of Arms History
In 2004, a contest was held in the village for the best project of the coat of arms of the village of Seekers. The winner of the competition was a resident of the village Nikolay Petrichenko. In his design, the coat of arms depicted an oil rig and the rising sun. [4] . This project has not been officially approved.
The current coat of arms of the village was developed by the Union of Heraldists of Russia . [five]
