Arch of Victory (Madrid)

Arch of Victory - an empire - style monument built in 1956 in Madrid , designed to commemorate the victory of the nationalists in the Civil War . General Franco himself often drove past the arch along the road from his El Pardo palace to Madrid . The arch has a height of almost 49 meters, it is crowned with a green chariot. In the upper part of the arch, architects Pascual Bravo and Modesto Lopez Otero designed a hall in which a model of a 25 square meter located next to the university’s arch and plan drawings of the arch itself are located.
